Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (PACU) - Travel/Contract
Location: Hartford, Connecticut
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Work closely with radiology to perform diagnostic testing, specifically MRI
- Provide nursing support to the ambulatory unit (Monday through Friday)
- Sedation PACU environment
- No patient admissions to this unit; other providers handle inpatient areas
Required Qualifications
Experience
- Specialty: Registered Nurse (PACU)

Health & Background Requirements
Background Checks
- Must be within 30 days of start and updated annually
- 7-year search including aliases, SS trace, counties, nationwide, statewide, national sex offender, OFAC
- EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG checks within 30 days of start
- Education verification required (diploma may be placeholder)
Health Documents
- Physical exam within 12 months of start, signed by NP, PA, or MD, documenting ability to work full day without restrictions
- Respiratory Fit Mask test annually (specific acceptable masks listed)
- Tdap vaccine within 10 years of start (TD and declinations not accepted)
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year, updated annually
- TB questionnaire for past positive TB, updated annually
- Immunizations or titers for Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella
- Drug testing (10 panel) within 30 days of start, updated annually
- Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required annually
Additional Requirements
- Clear copy of driver’s license or passport
- Two references within past 2 years who directly supervised the candidate
- Employment application covering 7 years of employment with explanations for gaps
- Skills checklist updated within 1 year of start
- Work history verification for last 7 years (attestations accepted case-by-case)
- Photo for badge (chest up, solid background, no others in photo)
- Facility-specific confidentiality, code of conduct, conflict of interest, contractor checklist, and pediatric medication calculation exam forms must be signed prior to start
