Rad Techs are also responsible for preparing and caring for patients undergoing radiologic testing. TasksAs a Rad Tech, you should be prepared to perform the following tasks:<ul><li>Confirm patient identification, review imaging requests and explain imaging procedures to patients providing reassurance and support as required</li><li>Follow orders from Physicians regarding which area of the patient's body needs imaging</li><li>Correctly position the patient and adjust the imaging equipment to appropriate position</li><li>Prevent unnecessary radiation exposure both to yourself and to patient by taking appropriate protection precautions</li><li>Calibrate imaging equipment</li><li>Prepare results for Physician to review </li><li>Maintain accurate patient records</li><li>Understand and use the McKesson PACS system </li></ul>RequirementsMust have 1 year of experience. Must have BLS, ARRT (R) National Certification, and state-specific licensing when required.Rad Techs should be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, bend, lean or stoop without difficulty. Job Details:
• Work first shift schedule from 7:30 AM to 3:00 PM 
• Full-time position with 40 hours per week 
• Must work every other weekend 
• Operate radiologic equipment to obtain diagnostic radiographs 
• Ensure proper processing of patient records to initiate procedure results in timely manner 
• Perform additional assigned duties as training and skills allow 
• 2+ years of recent experience required 
• Must be graduate of an AMA approved school of Radiologic Technology 
• Must be registered or registry eligible with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists 
• Must be licensed as a Radiographer by the State of Ohio 
• CPR certification required 
• Ability to lift and position patients, calibrate and operate equipment 
• Ability to communicate appropriately with patients, physicians and hospital employees 
• Ability to utilize hospital and radiology computer systems 
• Successful completion of training for other radiology procedures preferred 
• Interview required for position
