Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Work schedule: 36 hours per week, every other week (EOW)
• Level 1 trauma experience preferred
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS or ENPC, TNCC

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Connecticut
• Minimum of 1 year of Emergency Department (ED) experience within the last year
• BLS issued by American Heart Association
• ACLS issued by American Heart Association
• PALS or ENPC
• TNCC
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Trauma experience

Health and Compliance Requirements

• Fit test for respirator use
• COVID-19 vaccine (including booster or approved exemption)
• MMR vaccination or immunity proof
• Hepatitis B vaccination series started prior to start date
• Influenza vaccine or approved exemption (seasonal)
• 2-step PPD or IGRA TB test (with chest x-ray if positive)
• Varicella vaccination or immunity proof
• Physical/health statement confirming fitness to work (exam within last year)
• 10-panel drug screen completed within 30 days of start (no THC)

Additional Onboarding Requirements

• Specialty-specific competency testing within the last year
• Skills checklist (provided by agency)
• Criminal background check (federal, nationwide, county for last 7 years)
• Education verification (highest academic degree or diploma/GED)
• Various professional compliance forms and disclosures (code of conduct, confidentiality, conflict of interest, audit services, system access, etc.)
• Federal exclusion screenings (EPLS, OIG, NSO, OFAC) within 30 days of start
• Trinity Joint Commission CORE exam within the last year

Summary

This is a long-term Emergency Room RN position in Hartford, CT requiring multiple certifications (BLS, ACLS, PALS/ENPC, TNCC) and compliance with extensive health and professional screening requirements. Level 1 trauma experience is preferred but not mandatory. The role involves working 36 hours every other week. Prior travel experience is not required.
