Job Opportunity: Emergency Room RN
Location: Hartford, Connecticut
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Work schedule: 36 hours per week, every other week (EOW)
- Level 1 trauma experience preferred
- Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS or ENPC, TNCC
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Connecticut
- Minimum of 1 year of Emergency Department (ED) experience within the last year
- BLS issued by American Heart Association
- ACLS issued by American Heart Association
- PALS or ENPC
- TNCC
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Trauma experience
Health and Compliance Requirements
- Fit test for respirator use
- COVID-19 vaccine (including booster or approved exemption)
- MMR vaccination or immunity proof
- Hepatitis B vaccination series started prior to start date
- Influenza vaccine or approved exemption (seasonal)
- 2-step PPD or IGRA TB test (with chest x-ray if positive)
- Varicella vaccination or immunity proof
- Physical/health statement confirming fitness to work (exam within last year)
- 10-panel drug screen completed within 30 days of start (no THC)
Additional Onboarding Requirements
- Specialty-specific competency testing within the last year
- Skills checklist (provided by agency)
- Criminal background check (federal, nationwide, county for last 7 years)
- Education verification (highest academic degree or diploma/GED)
- Various professional compliance forms and disclosures (code of conduct, confidentiality, conflict of interest, audit services, system access, etc.)
- Federal exclusion screenings (EPLS, OIG, NSO, OFAC) within 30 days of start
- Trinity Joint Commission CORE exam within the last year
Summary
This is a long-term Emergency Room RN position in Hartford, CT requiring multiple certifications (BLS, ACLS, PALS/ENPC, TNCC) and compliance with extensive health and professional screening requirements.
