Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

Location: Warwick, Rhode Island
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (approximately 8 weeks)
Shift: Day shift, 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM


Job Summary

Provide nursing care to Labor and Delivery patients according to established patient care philosophies.


Required Qualifications

  • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Rhode Island
  • Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery nursing experience, with experience within the last year
  • Certifications:
    • Basic Life Support (BLS) issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
    • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
    • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
  • Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
  • Experience with Epic electronic medical record system

Immunization and Health Requirements

  • COVID-19 vaccine series or approved medical exemption
  • Influenza vaccine (required for the 9/1/25–5/31/26 season; no exemptions)
  • Hepatitis B vaccination series (titers not accepted)
  • Measles, Mumps, Rubella (MMR) immunization or positive titer
  • Varicella immunization or positive titer
  • Tdap immunization within the last 10 years
  • Two-step PPD skin test or one IGRA (Quantiferon/Tspot) within the last year
  • If history of positive TB test, must provide negative chest X-ray and completed TB symptom survey
  • Annual fit testing for N95 masks (specific approved models)

Additional Requirements

  • Fingerprinting completed in Rhode Island within 30 days of start
  • Federal, county, national, and statewide background checks including OIG, NSO, GSA/SAM searches within 6 months of start
  • Submission of professional license verification and employment verification for the last 5 years
  • Completion of required skills checklists and competency exams specific to RN Labor and Delivery
  • Completion of pharmacology, basic EKG, core competencies, and specialty competency exams
  • Submission of professional references (minimum one supervisory)
  • Completion and submission of required orientation and confidentiality agreements prior to start
  • Professional driver's license or state ID copy required
  • Neutral background, forward-facing badge photo required
