Registered Nurse – Medical-Surgical

Location: Neenah, Wisconsin
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 11 weeks
Shift: 12-hour nights (5:30 PM – 6:00 AM)
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
Weekend: Every other weekend
Holiday: Holiday rotation

Job Details

• Unit: Medical/Surgical 6th Floor
• Patient Ratio: 1:5 to 1:6 (night shift)
• Primary Cases: Trauma surgical, Neuro, Orthopedic
• Float: Required within facility and to other facilities within a 60-mile radius, based on skillset
• On Call/Call Back: None
• Orientation: 8-hour unbillable orientation (8-hour orientation week may have reduced guaranteed hours)

Required Qualifications

• Wisconsin RN License
• AHA BLS Certification
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) Certification
• Minimum 3 years experience as an RN
• Minimum 2 years Medical-Surgical experience
• At least 1 prior travel assignment required (previous travel experience mandatory)
• EPIC charting experience within the last 2 years
• Neuro/Ortho trauma experience required, including care of post-op neuro trauma and ortho trauma surgeries (fusions, backs/spines)
• Experience managing chest tubes, PCA/epidural/Q-ball, and continuous bladder irrigation (CBI)
• Must be resilient, adaptable to change, and socially engaging
