Registered Nurse — Medical-Surgical

Location

Wausau, Wisconsin

Contract

13 weeks
Travel assignment

Schedule

12-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
Every other weekend and every other holiday
Float to all inpatient units as needed

Required Qualifications

Wisconsin RN license
BLS certification from AHA or ARC
2 years of experience in the specialty

Preferred Experience

Trauma level II experience

Clinical Details

Medical-surgical unit with some medical and pediatrics workflow; travelers do not take pediatric patients
Common patient populations include adults with respiratory, neurological, gastrointestinal, diabetic, renal, urinary, sepsis, wound care, clotting, infectious disease, and alcohol withdrawal needs
Typical ratios: 1:4-5 on days, 1:6-7 on nights

Additional Notes

Guaranteed hours: 48 per week
May be low-censused in 4-hour increments
Scrub color: any color
During flu season, staff who decline flu and COVID vaccination must wear a mask at all times
