Job Opportunity: Labor & Delivery Nurse (L&D)

Location: Wenatchee, Washington
Employment Type: Long Term

Shift Details

• Evenings/Nights (E/N)
• 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (36 hours per week)
• Shift hours: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM

Licensure & Certifications Required

• Washington State or Compact RN Licensure
• Active BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• Active ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification

Job Responsibilities

• Coordinate and provide high-quality, compassionate patient care using nursing processes and unit standards
• Develop, implement, and continually reassess individualized patient care plans
• Administer medications and perform nursing procedures and treatments
• Evaluate discharge plans for appropriateness and patient education needs
• Accurately document care, assessments, interventions, and patient responses
• Collect patient information to ensure safe, high-quality care
• Perform ongoing holistic assessments of patient status and respond accordingly
• Address physical, psychological, social, and rehabilitative patient needs
• Educate patients, families, and significant others with timely health information and written materials
• Maintain current knowledge of workflows, processes, and evidence-based procedures
• Delegate tasks appropriately and oversee care by non-licensed assistive personnel
• Participate in performance evaluation and improvement processes
• Communicate and collaborate effectively with the healthcare team
• Maintain a clean and safe environment according to hospital and unit policies

Contract Length

• 13 weeks

Additional Requirements

• Must consistently function within the guidelines of the Washington Nurse Practice Act and unit-specific standards of practice
