Registered Nurse (OR RN) - Travel Contract

Location: Tacoma, Washington
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Summary

Seeking an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse for a travel assignment in a hospital setting. The role involves working in a high-volume OR with a variety of surgical specialties.

Required Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of OR nursing experience
Trauma experience required
Experience with robotic surgery (DaVinci system)
Scrubbing experience required
Active Washington RN license (pending license acceptable; temp license takes ~4 weeks)
BLS certification (required)
COVID-19 vaccination required
Experience with Epic EMR system

Work Details

Unit: Operating Room with 11 suites
Cases per day: 30-40 (including neuro, spine, ortho, vascular, thoracic, general, trauma, gynecology, urology, ENT, robotics, plastics)
Shifts: 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (3/12s)
Shift rotation: Flexible between days and nights (~50/50), including weekends
Call requirement: 2-3 calls every 6 weeks
Call response time: 20 minutes for trauma cases, 30 minutes for non-trauma
Floating: May float to another unit (Walters)
Orientation: Unit/department-specific orientation provided
Scrubs: Hospital provides scrubs

Supervisory Structure

Charge Nurse and Manager oversee the unit

Additional Information

Dress code includes provided hospital scrubs
Schedule includes call and weekend coverage as needed
