RN Central Resource Pool

Location

• Sioux Falls, South Dakota

Contract

• 13 weeks
• 36 hours per week
• 12-hour night shifts

Unit / Setting

• 30-bed medical surgical unit and 8-bed progressive care unit
• The unit cares for patients with pneumonia, COPD, CHF, COVID-19, pulmonary embolism, and other complex respiratory and medical-surgical cases
• Clinical care includes oxygen therapy, IV medications, moderate sedation monitoring during bronchoscopies, chest tubes, tracheostomies, postoperative care, non-invasive ventilation, mechanical ventilation, and cardiac monitoring

Required Qualifications

• RN license in South Dakota or a compact state
• BLS
• ACLS
• Experience with BiPAP, CPAP, heated high flow, oxygen titration, moderate sedation, telemetry, and medical-surgical patient care

Preferred Qualifications

• Specialty certification

Schedule

• Every other weekend
• Every other holiday
• Straight nights, rotating shifts, or blocked scheduling may be used

Floating

• Floats to Med-Surg units
• Travelers are the first to be reassigned to another department

Additional Notes

• Must be disclosed in submission if the clinician has ever worked for Sanford Health; if previously employed there, the end date must be at least 6 months before submission
• Badge in and out at the facility
• Scrubs: navy blue
• Epic is used for documentation
• Alaris pumps are used for IV fluids
• Acudose is used for medications
• Orientation includes telemetry and mechanical ventilation competency validation, online modules, self-assessment, and precepted unit time
