Job Details

Specialty: Histology Tech
Location: Colorado Springs, Colorado
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Nights
Hours: 8 hours/day, 40 hours/week
Department: Lab – Histology Tech
Orientation: Organization orientation on day one; lab-specific orientation on day two (3:00 AM – 11:30 AM, Monday-Friday)
Scheduling: No self-scheduling; weekend and holiday coverage required if staffing needed
Call: No call or standby call required
Dress Code: Any professional colors

Required Qualifications

Certified Histotechnician (HT) or Certified Histotechnologist (HTL)
Minimum 2 years of experience as a Histology Technologist, including experience within the last year
BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association

Systems & Equipment

Laboratory Information System (LIS): Epic Beaker
Electronic Medical Record (EMR): Epic Beaker
Other equipment: Roche instruments

Additional Information

No specialization required in specific tissue types (e.g., muscle or kidney)
No requirement to cover other lab areas or perform phlebotomy
Technical Coordinator reports to Lab Director
Hiring process includes profile review and interview with unit manager
Must be within a 60-mile radius for consideration
