Registered Polysomnographic Technologist

Location: Sioux Falls, South Dakota
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Nights (Sunday–Thursday)
Hours: 12-hour shifts, approximately 36 hours per week

Job Summary

• Perform diagnostic sleep testing including all PAP therapy titration.
• Responsibilities include patient check-in, room setup, patient hookup, charting, and equipment cleaning.
• Work in a 10-bed Sleep Lab (two beds designated for pediatric testing).
• Patient-to-tech ratio is generally 2:1; for patients younger than 3 years old, ratio is 1:1.
• Limited scoring during data collection.
• Located in a hospital outpatient department with secured entrance and flat lot parking.
• No floating to other units.
• Employee will not work alone; no on-call required.

Equipment & Systems

• Computerized charting.
• Natus XLTech Sleep Works software.
• ResMed S9 Devices.

Required Qualifications

• Sleep Tech trained with minimum 1 year of experience.
• Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) certification.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Orientation & Training

• Modified EMR training.
• One shift orientation paired with another sleep tech.

Additional Information

• Scrubs color: Gray.
• Lab operates Sunday through Thursday; shifts may not be consecutive and can include split shifts.
• All clinicians must badge in and out at the facility.
• Prior work at this facility requires a minimum 6-month gap since last employment.
