Diagnostic Radiology Technologist

Location: Peoria, Illinois
Contract Length: 20 weeks

Job Description

• Position in Diagnostic Radiology department, working primarily with inpatient, outpatient, and emergency room patients, including a high volume of surgery cases.
• Work environment is a busy Level 1 trauma center.
• Typical shifts are 8 hours, with occasional 12-hour shifts as needed.
• Weekend work required approximately every third weekend (may vary for travelers).
• No call, standby, or holiday requirements.
• Scrubs are provided only when assigned in the OR; no specific scrub color required.
• Orientation period is approximately 10 days.

Required Qualifications

• Active Illinois Radiologic Technologist license (or application process initiated).
• ARRT certification (MR) or NMTCB certification (Nuclear Medicine Tech Cert Board).
• BLS certification (AHA).
• Experience required in a busy Level 1 trauma center.
• Must have operating room (OR) experience and be able to work independently.
• Preferred experience with Epic EMR, OEC, and Carestream imaging systems.
• Must be self-motivated, quick-thinking, and flexible.
• No new graduates accepted.

Additional Information

• Local candidates within a 50-mile radius are preferred.
• Drug-free workplace; negative drug screen required.
• Non-billable orientation hours: 12 hours.
• Floating to other areas within the department may be required.
