Diagnostic Radiology Technologist
Location: Peoria, Illinois
Contract Length: 20 weeks
Job Description
- Position in Diagnostic Radiology department, working primarily with inpatient, outpatient, and emergency room patients, including a high volume of surgery cases.
- Work environment is a busy Level 1 trauma center.
- Typical shifts are 8 hours, with occasional 12-hour shifts as needed.
- Weekend work required approximately every third weekend (may vary for travelers).
- No call, standby, or holiday requirements.
- Scrubs are provided only when assigned in the OR; no specific scrub color required.
- Orientation period is approximately 10 days.
Required Qualifications
- Active Illinois Radiologic Technologist license (or application process initiated).
- ARRT certification (MR) or NMTCB certification (Nuclear Medicine Tech Cert Board).
- BLS certification (AHA).
- Experience required in a busy Level 1 trauma center.
- Must have operating room (OR) experience and be able to work independently.
- Preferred experience with Epic EMR, OEC, and Carestream imaging systems.
- Must be self-motivated, quick-thinking, and flexible.
- No new graduates accepted.
Additional Information
- Local candidates within a 50-mile radius are preferred.
- Drug-free workplace; negative drug screen required.
- Non-billable orientation hours: 12 hours.
- Floating to other areas within the department may be required.
