Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (Hospice RN)

Location: Garden City, Kansas
Contract Length: 8 weeks

Job Summary

Seeking a Registered Nurse specializing in Hospice care to manage and provide care for terminally ill patients with various diagnoses. The role involves case management and supervisory visits related to home health aides.

Schedule & Work Details

Shift: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday
Weekend: Rotating weekend on-call
Holidays: On-call rotation required
Orientation: 1-2 shifts, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM, Monday-Friday with call requirements
Patient Load: Manage 8-10 patients weekly with alternating visit days
Travel: Biweekly supervisory visits to home health aides

Required Qualifications

Current RN license
BLS (Basic Life Support) certification (AHA) required
National Hospice Certification preferred
Minimum 1 year of combined MedSurg and Hospice nursing experience

Additional Information

Case management responsibilities for 8-10 patients weekly
Experience with durable medical equipment (vents, CPAP, BiPAP) helpful
Professional dress code; any professional scrub colors acceptable
Must be available for on-call duties and rotating weekend coverage
Must be in-state for orientation week (even if some modules are remote)

Prior travel experience is not explicitly required
Driving license submission required due to travel radius of 60 miles
