Job Description

Seeking a compassionate Behavioral Health Office Nurse to provide professional nursing care independently within accepted nursing practice, medical direction, and hospital policies. The role involves using the Nursing Process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care by assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing interventions.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop individualized patient care plans.
• Maintain accurate and detailed medical records; report changes or concerns promptly.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, following hospital policies and protocols.
• Educate patients and families on disease management, treatment options, and preventive measures.
• Offer emotional support and advocate for patients’ rights to ensure compassionate care.
• Comply with hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory guidelines.
• Engage in continuous professional development to stay updated on medical advancements and best practices.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current New Hampshire RN licensure (NH or Compact License) active at time of submission.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification (AHA).
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification (AHA).
• PALS certification is required (facility will not pend licenses or certifications).
• Submission must include:

  • Work history.
  • Skills checklist current to within 1 year, pertinent to specialty.
  • One supervisory signed reference from the past two years of employment.
  • License and certifications as listed above.

Experience Requirements

• No explicit years of specialty experience stated; assume standard RN competency expected.
• No prior travel experience required.
