Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (MS/Tele RN - Adults Only)

Location: Leonardtown, Maryland
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

• Shift: 3 shifts of 12 hours each, nights (1900-0730)
• Weekend Coverage: Every other weekend required
• Experience Required: Minimum 2 years in specialty (Registered Nurse)
• Prior Travel Experience: Not required (1st time travelers accepted)
• Certifications Required:

  • BLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA or ARC certified
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
• Skills Required:

  • Telemetry
  • Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
• Additional Requirements:

  • Must successfully pass the Relias EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam with:

    • Minimum overall score of 80%
    • 100% score on lethal rhythms section
  • Required to float within units of equivalent or lower acuity as needed

Compliance & Documentation Requirements

• Background Checks:

  • Criminal background check within 90 days including all locations lived/worked/schooled in past 7 years
  • Federal, state, and county searches as applicable
  • EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks prior to start and monthly thereafter
• Licenses & Certifications:

  • State nursing license verification prior to start
  • Relevant certifications as per unit requirements (e.g., PALS, NRP, TNCC, EFM) if applicable
• Competency Exams:

  • Medication/Pharmacology competency exam (score ≥ 80%) within 3 years
  • Dysrhythmia/EKG competency exam (Relias) within 1 year, updated annually
  • Color blind testing (online or in-person)
• Health Requirements:

  • Annual physical exam confirming ability to work without accommodations and free from communicable disease
  • Negative TB test or chest x-ray within required timeframe
  • Immunizations or titers for Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Hepatitis B
  • Flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption during flu season
  • Drug screen within 90 days of start (excluding marijuana), updated annually
  • N95 fit test within 9 months of start, updated annually (client may complete onsite)
• Other Documentation:

  • I9/E-Verify attestation required
  • Valid driver’s license if driving is an essential job function
  • Photo for badge with specified requirements

Additional Notes

• Two positive supervisory references required, supporting at least 2 years of experience within the last 3 years
• Complete 7 years of work history with no gaps, including education and license information
• Required to complete facility-specific orientation modules prior to start
• Must be able to pass all required competency and certification exams before assignment start

This position is ideal for Registered Nurses with telemetry experience who are comfortable working night shifts and providing care for adult patients in a telemetry setting. Prior travel experience is not mandatory, making it suitable for first-time travel nurses.
