Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (Travel/Contract)

On-Call: Yes, typically 2 days a week plus some weekends on rotation

Patient Ratios: Blended pre-anesthesia/PACU environment requiring clinical judgment based on patient acuity and nursing observations, aligned with ASPAN standards and state staffing regulations

Experience Requirements

Other Certifications: Chemotherapy, Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM), IV Certification, Management of Assaultive Behavior (MAB), NIH Stroke Certification, CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute) as applicable per unit and UD (Unit Descriptor) requirements

Compliance & Documentation Requirements

Background Check: Within 45 days of start, covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years; must be updated annually
Education Verification: Required for all candidates; international education requires diploma/transcript or CES report
State License Verification: NURSYS verification required for all RNs
Drug Testing: 10-panel drug screen within 90 days of start (no instant tests)
Physical Exam: Within 1 year of start, signed by MD, NP, PA, or DO
Immunizations & Health Documents:
- TDAP (Tetanus/Diphtheria/Pertussis) within 10 years or declination
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months, updated annually
- MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or positive titer
- Hepatitis B vaccination or signed declination
- Varicella vaccination or positive titer
- Seasonal Flu vaccine or declination (required during flu season)
- COVID vaccine or declination
Respiratory Safety Clearance: Required for all new travel starts, medically cleared annually for respirator use
Fit Mask Testing: Required for travel starts, updated annually; onsite testing available if needed

WorkRamp Modules: Completion of required Providence WorkRamp training modules prior to start, including core, specialty, and regulatory modules based on region and specialty

This position is suitable for RNs with PACU and pre-anesthesia care experience who are comfortable with floating and on-call rotations, including weekends. First-time travel nurses are welcome to apply.
