Therapy/Rehabilitation Travel/Contract Job in Virginia (Fredericksburg Area)

Job Details

• Location: Fredericksburg, VA (with 1-2 days in Falls Church area)
• Employment Type: Travel/Contract
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Average Patients per Day: 4-6
• Visits per Week: Minimum 24-30 visits to qualify for 40-hour guarantee
• Types of Cases: Home Health, patients 18+ years old, Homecare focus
• Weekend Requirement: No mandatory weekends (optional with advance notice)
• On-call: Not required
• Locals Accepted: Yes, within 50-mile radius
• Dress Code: Business casual with closed-toe shoes
• Charting System: Kinnser/Wellsky (must be completed onsite, no remote charting)
• OASIS Experience: Preferred but not required
• Parking: Free residential parking
• COVID & Flu Policy: COVID declination allowed; flu vaccination required

Experience Requirements

• Specialty: Therapy/Rehabilitation in Homecare/Home Health
• Years of Experience Required: Minimum 1 year in Homecare/Home Health; ideally 1 year overall clinical experience
• Prior Travel Experience: Not required; first-time travelers accepted
• Acute Care Background: Considered a plus

Certifications & Licenses

• Required at Time of Submission:

  • Valid State License (no pending licenses accepted)
  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
• Preferred/Additional Certifications:

  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
  • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
• Compliance: All required documents must be submitted before starting; compliance processing may take 2-3 weeks

Required Documentation & Compliance

• Government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License/State ID)
• Emergency Contact Form
• Background Checks (within 1 year, including SS Trace, County searches, Nationwide, Sex Offender; updated annually)
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks (annual)
• Physical Exam (within 1 year)
• Negative TB test or Chest X-Ray (within 1 year; special rules if past positive)
• Immunizations or Titers for:

  • Measles (Rubeola)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Hepatitis B
  • Varicella
• Drug Testing: 9-panel drug screen within 1 year (instant drug screen acceptable)
• Flu Vaccination or Declination (required during flu season, Oct 1 - Mar 31)
• Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam (for RNs and Medication Aides)
• Competency Exam as applicable by profession
• Skills Checklist (annual)
• References:

  • 2 professional references for travel, allied, per diem acute care
  • 1 professional reference for per diem non-acute care
  • Not required for non-clinical roles

Additional Notes

• Mileage reimbursed from first patient to last patient of the day (not to/from home)
• All Return to Office (RTO) requests must be submitted at time of application; no additions after offer
• Valued clinician qualities: patient care focus, friendly attitude, punctuality, self-starter, good communication, and thorough charting completion

This position is suitable for clinicians with at least 1 year of home health experience who are comfortable working in a homecare setting and can commit to a 13-week travel contract in the Fredericksburg, VA area. First-time travel clinicians are welcome to apply.
