Job Opportunity: Radiation Therapist (Travel/Contract)

Job Details

• Unit: Radiation Oncology
• Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8-hour days (0800-1600), with variable hours to accommodate patient schedules
• Weekly Hours: 37.5 hours/week
• Must be licensed in New York
• Must be able to treat patients using Varian 2300ix and Varian EDGE Truebeam
• Knowledge of Siemens CT large bore for simulation required
• Proficiency with Electronic Medical Records ARIA and familiarity with EPIC required
• Local radius: 75 miles

• Dysrhythmia/EKG Competency Exam (required for ICU, PCU, ER, CT ICU, and 7th Floor M/S Unit staff; expires every 3 years)
• NY Harassment Prevention Training Certificate (annual requirement)

Health & Safety Requirements

• Physical Exam within 1 year of start
• Fit Mask test within 1 year of start, updated annually (specific mask types required)
• Negative TB test or Chest X-Ray within 1 year of start (PPD, Quantiferon Gold accepted; Tspot not accepted)
• Immunizations or positive titers required for:

  • Rubeola (Measles)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Hepatitis B (titer, declination, or vaccine series)
  • Varicella (positive titer, vaccine, or documented history)
• 9 Panel Drug Screen within 1 year of start
• Seasonal Flu Vaccination or Declination (required during flu season)
• Pneumonia Vaccination or Declination (required)

Documentation & Compliance
