Position Details

Work Schedule & Requirements
- Weekend shifts required every other weekend
- No on-call requirement
- Floating within scope to meet facility needs is required (float between like units)
- Block scheduling may be accommodated
- Local candidates within 50-mile radius are not accepted
- Pending licenses are not accepted
- Return staff policy: Must be gone for 1 year to return as a traveler
- System contract limit: Maximum of 2 contracts (can extend once), then must be gone for 6 months before returning
- Guaranteed hours: Call-off policy allows 2 shifts off per 13-week assignment; after that, all contracted shifts are guaranteed
Experience Requirements

- Dysrhythmia/EKG Competency Exam: Required and must be renewed annually; advanced dysrhythmia required for all RNs
- Pass/Fail Testing (EKG/Medication): Required for awareness on multiple units; candidates have 3 attempts to pass with remediation required after failures
Background & Health Requirements
- Background check required within 6 months of start (includes SSN trace, 7-year county residence, nationwide search, sex offender search, international search if applicable)
- Physical exam required within 1 year, updated annually
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year of start (annual renewal required)
- Immunizations required:
- TDAP within last 10 years (no declinations accepted for new hires)
- Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella: Titer or 2 vaccines required (no declinations accepted for new hires)
- Varicella: Titer or 2 vaccines required (no declinations accepted for new hires)
- Hepatitis B: Vaccine series, positive titer, or signed declination accepted
- Drug testing: Negative 10-panel drug screen within 30 days required
- Flu vaccine required year-round; medical or religious exemptions accepted with facility-specific forms and approval; flu season begins 8/1/2025, vaccine deadline November 10, 2025
- COVID-19 vaccination is not required but accepted if available
