Location: Athens, Georgia
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 12 weeks
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of experience in Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics
- 1st time travelers accepted
- Prior travel experience: Not required
Patient Population
- Pediatrics to Geriatrics
Certifications Required
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
- RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist)
- Georgia State License
Skills and Work Setting Requirements
- Ventilator management
- Medicated aerosol treatments
- Bipap management
- Open Heart care
- Intubation
- ABG (Arterial Blood Gas) draws and analysis
- CPT (Chest Physiotherapy)
- Nitric Oxide therapy
- COVID management
Work Environment
- 24/7 department coverage
- Day shift: 11-13 therapists
- Night shift: 9-10 therapists
- Coverage includes all hospital floors, 30-bed ICU, 25-bed Open Heart unit, 25-bed NICU, and 45-bed Emergency Department
- Floating within facility/scope of practice as needed
- Every other weekend off
- No call requirements
- Holiday work expectations:
- If 1 major holiday falls during assignment, expected to work it
- If 2 major holidays fall, expected to work both
- If 3 major holidays fall, expected to work 2 of them
- Major holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Day, New Year’s Eve/Day

- Epic

- GE Care Fusion
Orientation and Compliance
- Maximum Return to Office (RTO) time: 7 days
- Full compliance required to start on time; delays result in 2-week pushback due to bi-weekly orientation schedule
- Number of Non-Billable Orientation hours depends on contract length (e.g., 12 weeks = 12 hours)
Dress Code
- Scrubs of any color except all red or all navy blue
Required Documentation and Health Requirements
- Background check (completed within 30 days of start)
- Education verification (degree related to specialty)
- State license verification (Georgia)
- Physical exam within 12 months of start
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months
- TB questionnaire updated annually
- Immunizations or titers for:
- Rubeola (Measles)
- Mumps
- Rubella
- Hepatitis B (series, titer, or declination)
- Varicella
- Flu vaccination or declination required (seasonal)
- Negative 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start (instant acceptable under certain conditions)
- Skills checklist updated within 12 months
- Work history verification of most recent employer
- Two clinical references required
Competency Exams (Aya Required)
- Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam (RNs and LVNs only)
- Color Blind Testing (all candidates)
- Competency Exam (Nursing and Allied Health)
- Dysrhythmia/EKG Competency Exam (for Telemetry, ICU, ER, and related units)

- Review and sign Code of Conduct and Dress/Professional Appearance Policy prior to start
