Job Opportunity: Radiology / Cardiology Technologist

Location: Columbia, Missouri
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 16 weeks

Work Schedule

• Tuesday through Friday, 2 PM to 12 AM

Job Description

• Operate advanced imaging protocols including CT Cardiac, Stroke perfusion, Trauma
• Assist with procedure protocols for ICU, Trauma, General Anesthesia, Sedation, and Inpatient settings
• Evaluate images for technical quality and prioritize for Radiologist review
• Maintain accurate patient records
• Provide orientation and training for new technologists and student technologists
• Assist with education and training of new physicians (interns, residents, fellows, attendings)
• Collaborate with radiologists and physicists to develop new protocols and techniques
• Perform unit/department-specific duties as required

Required Experience

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in Radiology/Cardiology specialty
• Level 1 trauma experience required
• Prior travel experience required (the unit will NOT accept first-time travelers)

Required Certifications

• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists)
• CT Certification
• Experience with Siemens equipment required
• Knowledge of McKesson and Cerner systems preferred

Compliance and Documentation Requirements

• 7-year background check within 60 days of start (including alias, counties lived/worked, national and federal criminal, sex offender, social security trace, FACIS III/OFAC)
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG exclusion checks within 60 days of start
• Education verification as applicable
• International background check if candidate traveled outside the USA in last 7 years
• State-specific background checks and registrations (Missouri FCSR, MO EDL, MO Caregiver background screening) within 60 days of start
• Photo ID (Driver’s License or State ID) required
• Proof of employment eligibility (I9, E-Verify)
• Physical exam within 1 year of start, initiated within 48 hours of signing
• Negative TB test or chest x-ray within 1 year, updated annually
• Required immunizations and titers:

  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years or approved exemption)
  • Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella (MMR vaccines or positive titers)
  • Hepatitis B series or positive/reactive titer (declinations not accepted for new candidates)
  • Varicella (2 vaccines or positive titer)
  • Seasonal Flu vaccination or approved exemption (required during flu season)
• Negative 7-panel drug screen within 60 days of start
• Fit mask test within 1 year of start (3M 1870+, 1860R, 1860S, 9205) unless exempted by role
• Professional references (2 within last 2 years)
• Resume with minimum 7 years employment history, no gaps over 30 days

Additional Notes

• Orientation and safety manual acknowledgment required
• Competency exams and medication/pharmacology tests as applicable
• Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) certification required for Psych/Behavioral Health RNs (not applicable here)
• ACLS, PALS, NRP, CHEMO, TNCC, EFM certifications may be required for other specialties but not specified for this role
