Overview

• Travel/contract RN role in Charleston, South Carolina

• Shift: Day, 3x12 hours, 6:30 AM–7:00 PM

Role Summary

• Provides pre- and post-anesthesia care for cardiovascular, EP, and interventional cath procedures
• Supports sedated studies, clinic visits, and cardiac surgical workups
• Typical caseload is 2–3 patient visits per day
• Staff stay until the last patient is discharged or admitted

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in South Carolina
• Pediatric Cardiology experience within the last year
• 2 years of Pediatric Cardiology experience
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• PALS issued by American Heart Association

Preferred Experience

• Procedural experience
• Pediatric ICU experience
• Pediatric stepdown experience
• Cardiac experience preferred

Schedule Notes

• No weekends required
• No on-call requirement
• No floating
• Self-scheduling with team and manager final approval
• Minimum of 2 Mondays and 2 Fridays per month
• Facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks

Compliance / Pre-Start Requirements

• 60-mile radius rule applies
• All requested time off must be submitted at time of application
• Proof of 2 clinical references
• Complete application/resume with PTO, contract assignments, agency names, and no unaccounted gaps
• Annual background check
• Education verification required
• Nursys verification required
• 2 clinical references required
• Fit test within 90 days of start and annually thereafter
• Tdap within 10 years of start or declination
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 90 days of start
• Annual TB questionnaire
• Drug screen within 90 days of start
• Physical exam required and updated annually
• Color blind testing prior to start
• COVID vaccination documentation or declination if not vaccinated
• Flu vaccination or approved exemption during flu season
• Radiation badge required for this role
