Cardiac Short Stay Registered Nurse

Overview

• Travel/contract position in Kalamazoo, Michigan
• 13-week assignment
• Day shift: 4x12 hours, 6:00 AM–6:30 PM
• Guaranteed hours: 36 per week
• No call required
• Every other weekend required
• Floating as needed
• Must work 2 of 3 holidays

Unit Details

• Cardiac Short Stay unit caring for patients pre- and post-CVL procedures
• Unit operates 24 hours a day
• Must be competent with venous sheath pulls

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Michigan
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• 1 year of telemetry experience within the last year
• Cardiology experience
• ACLS issued by American Heart Association
• BLS issued by American Heart Association
• NIHSS
• Competency with venous sheath pulls
• Experience with Cerner

Additional Requirements

• Travelers must live at least 50 miles from the facility
• Background check required within 90 days of start
• Education verification or copy of diploma/transcript required
• Physical exam required
• Negative 12-panel drug screen within 30 days of start
• TB clearance documentation required before start
• Immunization or immunity documentation required for measles, mumps, rubella, hepatitis B, and varicella
• Flu vaccination or approved exemption required during flu season
• Fit mask testing required within 1 year of start
• Confidentiality and non-disclosure agreement required
• Employment application required
• Facility modules must be completed before start
