Job Opportunity: Operating Room Registered Nurse

Location: Thomasville, Georgia
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Assignment Length: 13 weeks (with possible extension)
Shift: Day shift, 4x10 hour shifts (7:00 AM – 5:00 PM)
Hours per Week: 40 hours

Job Description

• Circulate in the Operating Room (OR) setting.
• Minimal to no Return to Office (RTO) time required.
• Electronic Medical Record system used: SIS.
• Scrubs provided.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Georgia.
• Minimum 2 years of recent Operating Room (OR) circulate experience, including experience within the last year.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
• Previous travel nursing experience.

Required Documentation & Compliance

• Two recent supervisor/manager references (verified within 12 months).
• Skills checklist updated annually.
• NURSYS verification for RN license.
• Proof of education (diploma or transcript).
• Background check covering 7 years, including SSN trace, counties, national sex offender registry, FACIS Level 3, nationwide check, and education verification.
• Employment application/resume.
• Performance evaluation if worked with the agency over 1 year.
• Internal evaluation if worked with the agency over 1 year (for agency placements).
• Physical exam within 1 year, updated annually, attesting ability to meet physical demands.
• Negative 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start.
• TB testing: QGold or TSPOT within 30 days of start (no PPDs accepted). For past positives, chest X-ray within 2 years and TB questionnaire within 30 days.
• Immunizations or proof of immunity (positive titer or vaccines) for:

  • Measles (Rubeola)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Varicella
  • Hepatitis B (titer, series, or declination)
• Seasonal flu vaccination required during flu season (9/3 through 3/31) unless approved medical/religious exemption is provided.
• Fit mask test completed onsite at no cost.
• Facility-specific health and safety training modules must be completed prior to start.
• Photo for badge: passport-style, shoulders up, plain background, no selfies, must be submitted promptly.
• State-specific fingerprinting not required for RNs but required for CNAs.

Additional Notes

• Start date is approximately 3 weeks from offer acceptance.
• Candidates must reside within a 50-mile radius of the assignment location; proof of address required.
• Facility assigns HealthStream modules that must be completed before the first day.
• Dress code must be reviewed by the candidate.
• Flu exemption requires detailed documentation and facility approval.
• All required forms must be signed with wet ink or DocuSign (no other e-sign systems accepted).
• Timely submission of all required documents is critical for clearance.
