Job Opportunity: CVOR Registered Nurse

Location: Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

Shift: Day shift, 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM (3 shifts per week, 12 hours each)
Staffing Ratio: 1:2
Floating: May be required to float to other OR services such as General, Urology, ENT approximately once a week depending on cardiac volume fluctuations
Weekend Requirement: On call with 5 call shifts per month; days and hours vary
No holiday shifts required
Charting System: Epic
Scrubs provided

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Pennsylvania
Minimum of 3 years of Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) experience, with CVOR experience within the last year
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Background and Compliance Requirements

7-year criminal background check within 90 days of start, including PA PATCH search (must be uploaded separately)
EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required upon hire
Education verification or official transcript required
Pennsylvania Child Abuse Search within 12 months of start
Pennsylvania Department of Human Services fingerprint results within 12 months of start (FBI fingerprinting required for PA facilities)
Facility-specific education modules (~6 hours) must be completed prior to orientation
Signed acknowledgements for safety manual and pass/fail testing required

Additional Information

No prior travel experience required
Floating to other OR services may increase depending on cardiac volume
On-call shifts required but no holiday shifts
Orientation includes a pass/fail dysrhythmia exam; failure results in contract cancellation
