Overview
- Travel/contract RN position in Los Angeles, California
- Night shift: 3x12 hours, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
- 36 hours per week
- 13-week contract
- ASAP start
- Accepts first-time travelers
- Must be willing to float to Perinatal if needed
- May be placed on call if not needed for the scheduled shift
- 4 weekend shifts per month required
- Must work most holidays
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in California
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- 3 years of Labor and Delivery experience
- Labor and Delivery experience within the last year
- Experience with Epic
- BLS issued by American Heart Association
- ACLS issued by American Heart Association
- NRP
- AWHONN Advanced
- EFM
- Harassment Prevention Training Certificate
Required Certifications
- AHA BLS
- ACLS
- NRP
- AWHONN Advanced
- Fire Card for Los Angeles
- Management of Assaultive Behavior, MAB, or CPI with a physical in-person portion
- Advanced fetal monitoring competency
- Fetal monitoring competency exam within 1 year of start, with annual updates
Scheduling and Assignment Notes
- RTO must be submitted with the application
- No RTO allowed during the first 2 weeks of the assignment
- Maximum of 3 days of RTO
- One holiday RTO request may be submitted but is not guaranteed
- Once submitted, RTO cannot be changed except to cancel requested time

- 2 professional references from manager level or above

- Physical exam within 1 year of start
- Fit mask test within 1 year of start and renewed annually

- Vaccine documentation or declination for required immunizations
- Pre-start modules and facility-specific onboarding documents
Unit Context
- Labor and delivery setting with triage, LDR, OR, NICU, and postpartum areas
- Patient population includes neonates, adolescents, and adults
