Job Opportunity: Cath Lab Tech (Special Procedures Tech)

Location: Scottsdale, Arizona
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 8 weeks

Position Details

• Shift: 06:30 AM - 7:00 PM (3x12 hour shifts, Days)
• Daily Caseload: Variable
• Weekend Requirement: 1-2 weekends per 6-week schedule
• On-Call Requirement: Yes, overnight & weekend
• Floating: Yes, within scope and to sister facilities if needed
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Locals Accepted: Yes
• Pending State License Accepted: Yes, but license must be obtained before starting

Required Experience

• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Cath Lab Technologist
• Experience as a Cath Lab Technologist within the last year
• Experience as a Special Procedures Technologist

Procedural Responsibilities

• PACs
• Contrast administration
• Fluoroscopy studies
• Stents
• Ablations
• Angioplasty
• Angiograms
• Venous access
• Use of power injectors

Required Certifications & Licenses

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists)

• Type: Short Term Acute Care
• Total Staffed Beds: 427
• Scrubs Provided
• Charting System: Epic

Additional Requirements & Compliance

• Background checks including social security trace, criminal, FACIS Level 3, MVR (if driving essential)
• Education verification (minimum education requirement must be met)
• Various competency exams with minimum passing scores (80%) may be required
• Physical exam within 1 year of start, confirming good health and ability to perform job duties
• Immunization and health document requirements including:

  • Tdap vaccine (valid within 10 years)
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray (if applicable)
  • Proof of immunity or vaccination for MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella)
  • Hepatitis B immunity or declination
  • Varicella immunity or vaccination
  • Seasonal flu vaccination or approved exemption (required Nov-April)
  • Negative drug screen (10 panel) within 1 year of start
• N95 Fit Test required within 1 year of start (clinical positions only)
• Photo for badge (professional attire, neutral background)
• Signed HIPAA, OSHA, confidentiality, and contractor agreements within 24 hours of contract signing

Notes

• Candidates must be able to work required weekends and be available for on-call shifts.
• Floating to other units or sister facilities may be required.
• Pending licenses are accepted only if obtained before start date.
• First-time Cath Lab Tech travelers are not accepted for this position.
