Pediatric Home Health Nurse (LVN / LPN) - Akron, Ohio

Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 12 weeks

Job Description

Dedicated Pediatric Home Health position; work performed in patients' homes, not at a facility.
One visit per shift; LPN will remain at the same home for the entire shift.
Patients primarily on tracheostomies and ventilators.
Travel to homes up to 1 hour from base location.
Requires experience in Pediatrics, especially with technology-dependent and medically complex patients.
Communication skills needed to work with all organizational levels.
Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word) or similar software required.

Required Qualifications

Valid Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) / Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license in Ohio.
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is required.
Minimum 6 months (0.5 years) experience in Home Health, with Home Health experience within the last year.
Experience in Pediatrics, including working with pediatric patients.
Experience in Med Surg.
Experience in Home Care and Acute Care settings.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
