CT Tech (Travel/Contract)

Location: Hayward, California
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Perform diagnostic imaging including CT and X-ray duties with OR support.
• Rotating shifts with typical 8-hour shifts.
• Must be flexible to work days, nights, or weekends as needed.
• Occasional evening shifts may be required.
• No regular weekend shifts.
• Work settings include acute care, outpatient, ER, bedside portable procedures, OR, fluoro studies, and C-Arm.
• Experience with equipment such as GE, PACS, Toshiba, and Meditech is required.

Required Qualifications

• Valid CT Technologist license in California
• Minimum 2 years of CT Technologist experience, including experience within the last year
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• ARRT-R (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists - Radiography) certification
• Fluoroscopy certification and experience with fluoro studies
• Experience working in outpatient settings

Work Schedule

• Shifts:

  • Day shift: 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM (5 days/week)
  • Evening shift: 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM (5 days/week)
• 40 hours per week total.

Background and Compliance Requirements

• Background check within 6 months covering all locations lived/worked/schooled in past 7 years.
• International background check required if there is an employment gap outside the US in the past 7 years.
• Education verification or official transcript/diploma required.
• Employment application/resume required.

Health and Safety Requirements

• Physical exam within 1 year of start date.
• N95 respirator fit test within 1 year for those with patient contact (3M 1860, 1860 small, or 1870 models).
• Immunizations and titers required:

  • Tdap vaccine within 10 years
  • 2 MMR vaccines or positive titers for Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, and Rubella (boosters required if low titer)
  • Hepatitis B: positive titer and 3-dose vaccine series or acceptable alternative
  • Varicella: 2 vaccines or positive titer (boosters required if low titer)
• TB screening: 2 PPDs or QGold/T-SPOT within 12 months of start; chest x-ray if positive TB test.
• Seasonal flu vaccine or declination required during flu season (Sept 9 – March 31), deadline November 1.
• COVID-19 primary vaccine series and booster required (exemptions accepted via facility form).
• 9-panel drug screen within 6 months of start.

Additional Notes

• Orientation safety manual acknowledgement required.
• National certification verification prior to start and upon expiration as applicable.
• ACLS and PALS certifications noted but not required for this role unless specified by unit.
• Float assignments may include occasional evening shifts.
