Job Opportunity: Mammography Tech

Location: Zion, Illinois
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Position in Imaging Department, daytime hours (Monday-Friday, 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM)
• No on-call, weekends, or float required
• Patient population: Adult and geriatric
• Use of Pyxis system and EPIC documentation
• 8-hour orientation provided
• Dress code: Caribbean blue scrubs (not provided)

Required Qualifications

• Valid Mammography Technologist license in Illinois
• Minimum 2 years of Mammography Technologist experience, including experience within the last year
• Experience in outpatient settings
• Experience with 3-D mammography, diagnostic mammograms, screening mammograms, and digital mammography
• Familiarity with Hologic 3D and Hologic Affirm BX systems
• BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
• IEMA certification
• ARRT registration in Mammography

Compliance & Background Requirements

• Government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License or State ID)
• Background check within 1 year covering all locations lived/worked/schooled in past 7 years, including Social Security trace, county, nationwide, sex offender, and education verification
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required
• Education verification required
• Illinois Healthcare Worker Registry search required for applicable roles
• Physical exam within last 12 months
• Negative TB test or chest x-ray per protocol
• Required immunizations/vaccinations: Tdap, MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella), Hepatitis B, Varicella, Flu seasonal vaccination or approved exemption, COVID vaccine or approved exemption
• Negative 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start (including marijuana)
• Annual fit mask training and respirator fit testing required
• Annual skills checklist and competency exams as applicable

Additional Information

• Orientation Safety Manual acknowledgment required annually
• Medication test/pharmacology competency exam required as applicable
• Facility-specific flu exemption form required if applicable
• Adherence to dress code and facial hair policy for respirator seal

This position is ideal for Mammography Technologists seeking a travel contract with structured hours, no weekends or on-call, and a supportive orientation period. Prior travel experience is not required.
