Job Summary
Seeking an ARRT Licensed Vascular Interventional Radiology Technologist to assist Interventional Radiologists with minimally invasive, image-guided vascular procedures. The role includes scrubbing, monitoring, and circulating during procedures using fluoroscopy, CT, and ultrasound equipment.
Work Schedule
- Day Shift: Either 5x8-hour shifts or 4x10-hour shifts (7:00 AM – 3:30 PM)
- Call: Weekday call up to 2 days per week; weekend call every 3rd weekend
- Limited Return to Office (RTO) days approved (no more than 5 days)
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with vascular interventional procedures such as abdominal aortograms, fistulagrams, carotid angiograms, and EVARs
- Operate fluoroscopy and C-arm imaging equipment
- Support patient care in 2 endovascular suites and open procedure operating rooms
- Use EPIC/CareConnect EMR and PenVasc reporting software
- Surgical scrubs provided
- Work in a department averaging 20 patients per day with a 2:1 RT:RN lab ratio
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Graduate of an accredited radiography program
- ARRT certification or equivalent
- Ohio Department of Health radiologic license (can be obtained within 24-48 hours if pending)
- BLS Certification (AHA, ARC, or Military accepted)
- Minimum 2 years of experience in radiology; candidates with 1+ year experience considered only if they have Level I or Level II trauma experience
- Competency in vascular interventional radiology procedures and imaging equipment
Certifications & Licenses
- ARRT certification required (Interventional Radiology specialty not mandatory, but ARRT certification is)
- Ohio Radiologic State License required
- BLS Certification required
- ACLS may be required depending on unit specifics (check with recruiter)
Health & Safety Requirements
- Physical exam within 2 years prior to start, indicating clearance to work without restrictions
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 6 months of start
- Respirator fit test documentation within 1 year (N95 or equivalent)
- Drug screening: Negative 9 or 10 panel urine drug screen within 90 days of start (marijuana tested, no medical marijuana exceptions)
- Required immunizations or proof of immunity: Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Hepatitis B
- Seasonal flu vaccination or approved exemption required by specified deadlines
Background Checks & Compliance
- 7-year background check including SS trace, county searches, nationwide criminal search, sex offender search, and sanctions screening
- State-specific registry checks as applicable
- Fingerprinting required for onboarding (may be onsite or at designated locations)
Additional Requirements
- Traveler’s permanent address must be more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
- Must be able to scrub and circulate in surgical settings
- Experience with EPIC electronic medical records preferred
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple imaging modalities
