Electrophysiology Tech - Travel/Contract
Location: Seattle, Washington
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Position Details
- Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology (Electrophysiology Tech)
- Shift: 4 days per week, 10-hour shifts (7:00 AM - 5:30 PM)
- Weekend Requirement: No
- Floating: Yes, within hospital only (no floating to sister hospitals)
- Block Schedule Accommodation: No
- Locals Accepted: Yes
- On-call: No (Technicians may volunteer for "Late Stay" but are not on-call)
- RTO Restrictions: Maximum 1 week
Job Responsibilities / Procedures
- Support patients undergoing coronary device implants (pacemakers, ICDs including subcutaneous, loop recorders, Micra pacemakers)
- Assist with lead extractions with surgical support
- Perform diagnostic EP and ablation procedures including VT (including epicardial), PVC, AFib, Aflutter, other atrial ablations, transeptal approach
- Use advanced mapping and ablation systems: Biosense Webster CARTO, Abbott Precision Mapping, Cryo for some AFib ablations
- Operate equipment such as Biotronik temporary pacemaker box, Siemens X300 ICE machine, Laser, Impella, IABP, PA lines (Swan-Ganz), Alaris IV pump, Hemochron ACT machine
- Monitoring via GE CardioLab system
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of Electrophysiology Technician experience, including experience within the last year
- Certifications:
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
- ARRT(R)
- RCIS or RCES
Compliance and Documentation Requirements
- Background checks including 7-year criminal history, EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG, Sex Offender Search, and Washington WATCH search
- Education verification or diploma/transcript as applicable
- Physical exam within 1 year of start (required by agency)
- Fit mask test within 9-12 months of start (N95 preferred; PAPR available onsite if needed)
- Immunizations and health screenings:
- TDAP within 10 years
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray per facility protocol
- Measles, Mumps, Rubella: Positive titer or 2 vaccines (with exceptions for birth year)
- Hepatitis B: Positive titer or declination with waiver (vaccines alone not sufficient)
- Varicella: Positive titer or 2 vaccines (history of disease not accepted at this facility)
- Seasonal Flu vaccination or approved exemption/declination with education module completion
- COVID vaccination or declination for tracking purposes
- Drug screen: 10-panel within 1 year of start (required by agency)
- Facility-specific documents including photo for badge, signed agreements, and department checklists

- Magnet-designated teaching hospital with 637 staffed beds
- Charting system: EPIC
- Scrub color: Any (scrubs provided for OR personnel)
- Parking cost: Approximately $10.26 daily
- Performance evaluation requested at end of assignment (for this location only)
- Radiation badges for new candidates are provided by the facility, not the agency
