Job Opportunity: CT Tech
Location: Albuquerque, New Mexico
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks (minimum 10 weeks for new contracts and extensions)
Job Description
- No local candidates accepted within 100 miles.
- COVID vaccination required; religious and medical exemptions accepted with completed exemption form.
- Shifts may include both weekdays and weekends; shift assignments vary weekly.
- On-call required: weekday night 12-hour shifts and weekend 12-hour day and night shifts.
- No floating to other departments or sister facilities.
- Guaranteed 36 hours per week; facility may call off up to 3 times during a 13-week assignment.
- A 6-month break is required after 4 consecutive assignments or one year of cumulative travel work, whichever comes first.
- Overtime paid after 48 hours (for contracts signed on or after 10/30/2025).
Required Qualifications
- Valid CT Technologist license in New Mexico (pending state license accepted).
- Minimum of 1 year of CT Technologist experience within the last year.
- ARRT (CT) certification required at time of submission.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
Experience
- Years of experience: Will consider based on profile (no minimum explicitly required).
- First-time travelers accepted.
- Prior travel experience: Not explicitly required.
Preferred Skills / Procedures
- Experience with Abdomen, Pelvis, Head/Neck, Chest, Spine, Musculoskeletal imaging.
- Procedures such as Aspirations/Biopsies, Brain Perfusion, Colonography, CT Arthrography, Myelography, CT Angiography, Multiplanar Reconstruction.
Additional Information
- Facility type: Level I Trauma, Teaching, Children’s Hospital, short-term acute care.
- Total staffed beds: 554.
- Charting system: Cerner.
- Parking: No fee.
- Orientation includes safety manual acknowledgement and various competency exams.
- Candidates must complete required competency exams including medication/pharmacology and dysrhythmia/EKG competency.
- Facility requires acknowledgment of pass/fail testing and arrhythmia exam review for certain units.
- Fit mask testing required within 1 year of start; specific N95 masks accepted.
- Various certifications may be required or preferred depending on unit assignment (e.g., ACLS, PALS, NRP, TNCC, EFM, CPI, MOAB).
Important Notes
- Candidates must bring original New Mexico professional license with 3D seal onsite.
- Fingerprinting cost is the candidate’s responsibility unless exception is granted.
- Facility is not near public transportation; candidates must have reliable transportation.
- RTO (Return to Office) restrictions: absences longer than 7 days require approval.
