Job Opportunity: Behavioral Health Registered Nurse

Job Description
- Work on an adolescent behavioral health unit with patients aged 14-17 years.
- Unit consists of 4 rooms and 4 beds with an average daily census of 4 patients.
- Patient age groups include adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.
- Staffing ratios:
- Days: 1 nurse to 2 patients
- Nights: 1 nurse to 2 patients
- Weekends: 1 nurse to 2 patients
- Float required.
- Weekend coverage every other weekend.
- Block scheduling.
- Medication system: Pyxis.
- Documentation system: Cerner.
- Communication method: SBAR.
- Scrubs not provided; scrub color is navy blue.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Alaska
- Minimum of 1 year of Behavioral Health nursing experience, including experience within the last year
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) or AVADE certification
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Experience
- No prior travel experience required; first-time travelers are welcome.
- Specialty: Registered Nurse in Behavioral Health.
