Employment Details

• Type: Travel/Contract
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Hours: 36 hours per week, 3x12 hour night shifts (1900-0730)
• On-Call Requirement: No call requirement

Job Description

• Required to float to Pediatrics.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience required.

Certifications Required

• BLS - Basic Life Support (AHA required)
• PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support (AHA required for RNs in specific units)
• ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support (AHA required for specific units)
• NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure (required for specific units)
• TNCC - Trauma Nursing Core Course (required for RNs working in ER/ED)
• ENPC - Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (required for RNs working in ER/ED)
• NIH Stroke Certification - required for RNs in Neuro/Trauma ICU
• CPI - Crisis Prevention Institute (required for all Behavioral Health positions)
• Tech Cert Verification - National (required within 30 days of start)
• State License Verification - Wisconsin CNA license required

Additional Requirements

• Driver's License or Government Issued Photo ID - required
• Background Check - must include state checks for every state resided in the last 3 years
• References - Two references required, one must be from a supervisor level or higher
• Employment Application - must include 7 years of employment history with explanations for gaps
• Education Verification - must verify highest level of education

Health Documents Required

• Physical Exam - within 12 months of start
• Fit Mask - must be completed prior to first day of work
• TB Testing - Negative TB test or chest x-ray required
• Vaccinations - Documentation for MMR, Hepatitis B, Varicella, and Tdap required
• Drug Testing - must be completed within 90 days prior to start

Competencies

• Dysrhythmia/EKG Competency Exam - must score at least 80%
• Unit Specific Competency Exam - required within 12 months of start

Seasonal Requirements

• Flu Vaccine - required during flu season (September 1st - April 1st)
