Job Description

• Position/Specialty: ICU
• Shift: Nights
• Ratios/Daily Caseload: 2-3 patients per nurse
• Years of Experience Required: 1.5+ years
• First-timers Accepted: Yes
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• On-call Requirement: No
• Floating: Yes, within scope to meet facility needs (5 facility float clause is for emergencies only)
• Holidays: 75% of holidays
• Block Schedule: Open to accommodating, but not guaranteed
• Local Candidates: Not accepted within 50 miles
• Pending License: Accepted
• RTO Restrictions: Ideally no more than 2 weeks, added to the end of the contract
• Guaranteed Hours: Yes

Certifications Required

• BLS: Basic Life Support
• ACLS: Advanced Cardiac Life Support
• NIHSS: National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale
• CRRT: Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy

  • Must have EPIC experience
  • No recent Atrium employees (including PRN and internal temp) within the past year

Health and Compliance Requirements

• Physical Exam: Required within 1 year of start
• Drug Testing: 9 Panel Drug Screen required within 1 year of start
• Vaccinations:

  • Flu Vaccine or exemption required for all candidates during flu season
  • COVID-19 vaccination documentation is preferred but not mandated
• Background Check: 7-year comprehensive background check required within 45 days of start

Education and Verification

• Education Verification: Required for all candidates prior to start
• North Carolina Nurse Aide Registry Search: Required for all candidates prior to start
