Job Opportunity: RN Emergency Room

Location: Reno, Nevada
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 26 weeks (approximately 6 months)
Shift: Dayshift, 12-hour shifts
Start Date: January 17


Job Description

  • Position: Registered Nurse in Emergency Department (ED)
  • Must be able to float to other units as needed
  • Weekend availability required
  • Preference for candidates who can work full schedule through end of January and first week of February
  • Per diem availability

Required Experience

  • Specialty: RN Emergency Room
  • Years of Experience: Not explicitly stated; assume minimum standard for ER RN (typically 1-2 years)
  • No prior travel experience explicitly required

Compliance and Credential Requirements

Candidates must meet the following non-negotiable compliance items before or shortly after starting:

  • Professional nursing license verification (Nursys)
  • BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications (American Heart Association or Red Cross)
  • Vaccination records or valid declinations for:
    • MMR (proof of 2 vaccines or positive titer)
    • Varicella (proof of 2 vaccines or positive titer)
    • Hepatitis B (declinations not accepted)
    • Influenza vaccine or declination (required Nov 1 - Mar 31)
    • COVID-19 vaccine and booster or declination
    • Tdap (declinations not accepted)
  • Negative TB test within one year of start date
  • Drug screening (minimum 10-panel including THC) within 60 days of start
  • Background check (national, within one year)
  • Fit test (annual respirator fit test; may be required prior to start depending on location)
  • Physical/health statement completed within 60 days of start, stating clearance to work
  • Driver’s license, State ID, or Passport

  • Full compliance profile required within two weeks after start date
  • Drug screen requirements for California locations include both urine and saliva tests for THC
  • Some optional documents include badge photo and name verification affidavit if needed

This position is ideal for experienced ER nurses who are flexible with floating and weekend shifts, and who can commit to a roughly 6-month assignment starting mid-January.
