Job Opportunity: RN ICU - Travel Position (Float Pool)

Location: Cooperstown, New York (with floating across multiple facilities in the network)

Overview

• Position is part of a Float Pool providing flexible staffing across six facilities within the healthcare network.
• Requires highly skilled nurses capable of managing the full scope of patient care independently.
• Candidates must be adaptable and able to work across various units and facilities.
• Flexibility, independence, and a broad skillset are essential.
• Floating between facilities and units is required daily, including possible mid-shift floating.

Facilities Covered

• Multiple hospitals ranging from 23 to 180 beds, including acute care, emergency departments, critical access hospitals, and teaching hospitals.
• Facilities are located within approximately 0-40 miles of Oneonta, NY.

Float Pool Options & Responsibilities

1. Med/Tele Float Pool

• Supports med/tele and med/surg units across all facilities.
• Must handle full scope of patient care without support.
• Able to work independently across various units.

2. ED/Med Tele Float Pool

• Supports med/tele units and emergency departments.
• Med/tele experience preferred.
• ED experience is a bonus but not required.
• Must adapt quickly to different units and settings.

3. Critical Care Float Pool (This position)

• Supports stepdown and ICU areas across the network.
• Strong critical care background required.
• ED experience highly preferred.
• Must float between facilities including critical access and ICU units.

Contract Length

• 10 weeks

Required Certifications & Credentials

• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
• Nursys verification
• License/Certificate Verification
• Bassett Core Competencies, Unit Exam, and Skills Checklist
• MMR, Fit Test, Hepatitis B, Influenza Vaccine, TB Test, Varicella, Annual TB Questionnaire, Physical/Health Statement
• Driver's License/State ID
• Professional references, criminal background check, resume, webchecks, sex offender registries, education and employment verification
• Drug screen
• Completion of Bassett Submittal Profile (resume, skills checklist, license verification, BLS, and any additional required certifications)
