- Day shift: 5:00 AM to 1:30 PM
- No weekends, holidays, or on-call required
Job Description
- Provide perioperative nursing care in a high-volume hospital setting.
- Manage preoperative and postoperative phases of patient care following American Society for Peri-Anesthesia Nurses (ASPAN) standards.
- Prepare patients for surgery, cath lab, endoscopy, and special procedures.
- Ensure effective discharge planning for outpatients.
- Must function independently in a fast-paced surgical environment and be able to "hit the ground running."
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Texas.
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Ambulatory Surgery, including at least 1 year within the last year.
- Experience in an outpatient setting.
- Perioperative nursing experience.
- BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association.
