Job Description

• Operating Room Surgical Technician working primarily day shifts (7:00 AM to 3:30 PM) with 2-3 rotations to evening shifts (3:00 PM to 11:30 PM) every 4 weeks.
• Required to take 2-3 weekday calls and weekend calls on a rotating schedule.
• Unit is a Level II Trauma center in a complex community setting.
• Patient population includes pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients.
• Average daily census: 30-40 patients.
• Clinician-to-patient ratio: 1:1.
• No floating required.
• Rotating shifts and call required; no night call.
• Charting system: EPIC.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of Surgical Technician experience within the last year.
• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification from NBSTSA or NCCT.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association or Red Cross.
