CT Technologist - Massachusetts (Newton)

Job Summary

  • Perform a variety of Computed Tomography (CT) procedures under the direction of a qualified physician, technical specialist, and CT Operations Manager.
  • Use prescribed levels of ionizing radiation to produce quality diagnostic images of specified body parts.
  • Work with patients ranging from newborn to geriatric.
  • Able to insert and remove IVs.
  • Follow all federal, state, local, and hospital policies and procedures.

Required Experience

  • Minimum of 1 year of Radiology experience required.
  • Knowledge of the special needs and behaviors of adult and older adult patients preferred.

Licenses and Certifications

  • Licensed by the State of Massachusetts Radiation Control Board.
  • ARRT Registered - RT (R) or RT (N).
  • ARRT Registry in Computed Tomography preferred.
    • If no CT license at time of hire, technologist has one year to obtain CT license.
  • CPR certified.

Education

  • Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology.

Required Credentials and Compliance (must be completed prior to or at onboarding)

  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
  • License/Certificate Verification (Primary Source Verification).
  • Fit Test for N95 respirator (within 365 days of start date, updated annually).
  • ARRT certification.
  • Documentation of MMR vaccination or proof of immunity.
  • Influenza vaccine during flu season (Sept 15 - April 30), no exemptions.
  • TB test documentation within 3 months of start date (skin test or blood test).
  • Health Statement signed by MD/DO/NP/PA within 365 days of start date.
  • Criminal background check within 45 days prior to start.
  • Massachusetts CORI background check within 30 days prior to start.
  • Resume including past 7 years of work experience.
  • Two recent references (minimum one supervisor or above).
  • Skills checklist.
  • Confirmation of assignment form upon acceptance.
  • Education verification.
  • SSN trace.
  • National sex offender check.
  • Exclusion checks (OIG, GSA, MassHealth, NH Medicaid).
  • Respirator Medical Clearance Attestation (if fit test required).

Optional but Preferred

  • Hepatitis B vaccination or proof of immunity.
  • Tdap vaccine within 10 years.
