Job Description
- Seeking experienced CST travelers with cardiac scrub experience and Level I trauma experience.
- Start dates available: 10/27, 11/10, 11/24.
- Rotation options: 4x10 or 4x12 hour shifts, Day or Evening.
- Shift details:
- 4x10 Day: 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM (Mon, Tue, Thu, Fri), 9:00 AM - 7:30 PM (Wed)
- 4x10 Evening: 1:00 PM - 11:00 PM
- 4x12 Day: 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM (Mon, Tue, Thu, Fri), 9:00 AM - 9:30 PM (Wed)
- 4x12 Evening: 11:00 AM - 11:00 PM
- Includes 2 weeks of night shifts per contract.
- Includes at least 2 short calls every 4 weeks and weekend shifts.
- Weekend shifts for 4x10 are 12 hours; during the same week, 8 or 10 hour shifts will be scheduled to meet contracted hours.
- Initial evening shifts may be trialed; if skills align with needs, evening shifts may become primary.
Required Experience & Skills
- Must have cardiac surgical experience.
- Level I trauma experience preferred.
Credential & Compliance Requirements
Mandatory for Onboarding:
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) Certification (NBSTSA or NCCT only)
- MGB Badge Photo: Recent (within 6 months) professional headshot (no selfies, no filters, plain background, no eyeglasses)
- License/Certificate Verification: Primary source verification of professional license/certification (MA Conditional Licenses not accepted)
- Fit Test: N95 respirator fit test within 365 days of start date, updated annually (no religious exemptions)
- MMR Vaccination or Immunity Proof: Documentation of required measles, mumps, rubella vaccines or immunity blood test
- TB Test: Negative TB skin test or blood test within 3 months of start date, updated if >6 month break
- Health Statement: Physician statement signed by MD/DO/NP/PA within 365 days of start date, updated if >6 month break
- Criminal Background Check: Within 45 days prior to start, including international searches if applicable
- Massachusetts CORI Check: Within 30 days prior to start, updated if >6 month break
- Resume: Past 7 years of work experience with city & state details (required for submission)
- References: Two recent references, at least one supervisor or above in skillset (required for submission)
- Skills Checklist: Required for submission
- Confirmation of Assignment/POI Form: Required for all initial assignments and extensions
- Education Verification: Verified through background check company (highest level of education)
- SSN Trace: Must be run with criminal check, covering last 7 years of addresses/employment/school
- National Sex Offender Check: Within 30 days of start, updated annually
- Exclusion Checks: OIG, GSA, MassHealth & NH Medicaid exclusion lists, updated annually
- Respirator Medical Clearance (RMC) Attestation: Required if fit test is required
Strongly Preferred / Optional:
- Hepatitis B Vaccination or Immunity Proof
- Influenza Vaccine: Required during flu season (Sept 15 - April 30) with no exemptions
- Tdap Vaccine: Within last 10 years, preferred
- Positive PPD - Negative Chest X-Ray: If applicable
- TB Symptom Survey: If positive PPD, completed prior to start and updated annually
