Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Summary
Provide direct patient care to an assigned group of patients during a shift using the nursing process. Responsibilities include ensuring safe, effective, patient-centered care, administering medications and treatments, coordinating care with patients, families, and healthcare teams, and supervising LPNs and non-licensed assistive personnel. Floating between departments or local locations within 20 miles is required.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in New Mexico
- Minimum 2 years of Progressive Care Unit (PCU) experience, with at least some experience within the last year
- At least 13 weeks of total travel nursing experience
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- ACLS certification issued by the American Heart Association, American Health and Safety, or American Red Cross
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Epic EMR system.
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification.
Additional Information
- Floating between departments or local locations within 20 miles is required.
- Responsible for clinical supervision of LPNs and non-licensed assistive personnel.
