RN - Med/Surg Oncology

Location: Billings, Montana
Employment Type: Clinical Nursing Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Summary

Perform independent nursing and delegated medical functions according to state Board of Nursing standards.
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care.
Continuously evaluate patient health status through data collection and assessment.
Provide health teaching, counseling, therapy, and restorative treatment directly or through delegation and supervision.
Execute delegated medical functions and refer patients for further evaluation or treatment as needed.
Review and monitor therapy and treatment plans.
Document care in compliance with hospital and regulatory guidelines.
Utilize resources effectively.
May float to other departments within scope of competency based on business needs.
May be required to be on-call during scheduled shifts.

Required Qualifications

Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing with an ASN degree.
Current Registered Nurse license in Montana.
BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
ACLS, NRP, or PALS certification as appropriate for the unit or service.

Preferred Qualifications

Previous experience as a Registered Nurse.
Bachelor’s degree in Nursing.
Additional certifications relevant to the unit or service.
