Job Description

• Work under the supervision of the Director of Rehabilitation Services.
• Assess referred patients and develop/administer Physical Therapy intervention plans.
• Schedule treatments, document treatment information, and assign duties to assistants and aides.
• Instruct and evaluate therapy students and assistants during clinical affiliations.
• Regularly assume duties of Charge Therapist.
• Provide care appropriate to the age of patients served, including children.
• Coordinate with case managers for continued therapy services post-discharge.
• Maintain cost-effective treatment plans and ensure high-quality, safe patient care.
• Assist in orientation of new employees and volunteers.
• Adhere to hospital safety standards and department objectives.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• California Physical Therapy license or eligibility – Required
• Current BLS/Healthcare Provider certification (American Heart Association standards) – Required
• Acute hospital setting experience – Required
• Epic electronic health record experience: Minimum 6–12 months within the past year

Contract Length

• Approximately 13 weeks (90 days converted to weeks)
