Job Details
- Must be able to read and interpret cardiac strips
- 32-bed flex unit (intermediate and general care)
- Staffing ratio: 1 RN to 4 patients
- Self-scheduling format
- Primary patient population: Oncology patients requiring surgical intervention and benign surgical patients
- Patient types include ear, nose and throat, colorectal, OB/GYN, urology, gastrointestinal, genitourinary, thoracic, and plastic surgery cases
- Cancers treated exclude brain and lung cancers
- Required to float to areas of equal or lesser care
Schedule & Time Off
- 3 out of 4 holidays worked
- 6 weekend shifts within a 6-week schedule
- 13-week contract length
- 36 guaranteed work hours per week
- Every other weekend (EOW) schedule
- All requested time off (RTO) must be approved prior to confirmation; no additional time off granted during assignment
