Registered Nurse - PCU

Location: Greenville, North Carolina
Employment Type: Long Term
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: 12-hour day shifts, every other week (EOW)
Schedule: Self-scheduling with 3 out of 4 holidays and 6 weekend shifts within a 6-week schedule
Hours: 36 or 48 hours per week

Unit & Patient Population

• 32-bed flex unit (intermediate and general care)
• Patient population includes oncology patients requiring surgical intervention and benign surgical patients
• Specialties served: ear, nose and throat, colorectal, OB/GYN, urology, gastrointestinal, genitourinary, thoracic, and plastic surgery
• Cancers treated exclude brain and lung cancers

Staffing & Ratios

• RN-to-patient ratio: 1:4
• May be required to float to areas of equal or lesser care

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in North Carolina
• Minimum 1 year of Progressive Care Unit (PCU) experience within the last year
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• BLS and ACLS certifications
• Ability to read and interpret cardiac strips
• Experience with Epic electronic health record system
• Prior travel nursing experience

• 80-mile local radius rule applies
• All requested time off (RTO) must be approved prior to confirmation; no additional time off granted during assignment
