Location: Kennewick, Washington


Position Details

  • Specialty: OB (Labor & Delivery)
  • Employment Type: Travel
  • Contract Length: 13 weeks
  • Shift: Nights
  • Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
  • Weekend Hours: 48 per month
  • Call Requirements: None
  • Float Requirements: Yes, to Mother/Baby unit
  • Number of Openings: 1

Facility & Unit Profile

  • Unit: Birth Center
  • Number of Beds: 6 labor rooms, 11 mother/baby rooms, 3 triage beds
  • Patient Ratios: Per AWHONN guidelines
  • Patient Population: Adults
  • EHR Systems: Centricity and Paragon
  • Volume: Approximately 110 deliveries per month

Required Qualifications

  • Licensure: Current Registered Nurse License (Washington state)
  • Years of Experience: Minimum 2 years recent acute experience in specialty
  • Certifications:
    • Fetal Monitoring
    • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
    • BLS (Basic Life Support)
    • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
    • AWHONN certification preferred

Skills & Experience

  • Must Have:
    • Experience with OR circulation, mother/baby care, and triage (triage preferred but not required)
  • Common Diagnoses/Treatments: Labor management
  • Personality Fit: Flexibility and good communication skills

Additional Notes

  • Dress code includes blue and blue/green scrubs
  • Must be located more than 60 miles from the facility to qualify as travel
  • Teaching hospital environment with a variety of services including ED, Family Medicine, Ortho, OBGYN, Pediatrics, and more

Orientation

  • New Employee Orientation (NEO) dates available throughout the year
