Job Description

This position is for a Registered Nurse in the Operating Room (OR) at a state-of-the-art acute care hospital serving the tri-state area near Bullhead City, AZ. The hospital features private patient rooms and a variety of specialized units including medical/surgical, intensive care, acute rehabilitation, and labor/delivery.

Unit Profile

• Department: Operating Room
• Number of Openings: 1
• Shift: 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM
• Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
• Weekend Hours: Only for on-call
• Call Requirements: Evenly shared with other OR RNs, usually starting at 5:00 PM
• Float Requirements: May float to PACU as a second RN
• Number of Beds: 6 OR beds, 1 Endoscopy suite
• Patient Ratios: 1:1
• Patient Population: 70% adult, 28% geriatric, 2% pediatric
• Type of Patients: 90% outpatient, 10% inpatient
• Equipment: New Olympus laparoscopic/endo equipment, Steris beds, Hana table
• EHR Systems: Medhost and CQI

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Arizona
• Minimum 1 year of Operating Room (OR) experience within the last year
• Minimum 1 year of acute care facility experience
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Experience in an acute care setting

• Professional dress code required; visible tattoos allowed if within professional standards
• Call schedule is shared among OR nurses
• Candidate must be prepared to float to PACU as needed
