Location: Birmingham, Alabama
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Details

  • Specialty: Ortho/Surgery Post-op
  • Shift: PM (starts at 18:45)
  • Weekly Hours: 36 hours guaranteed
  • Weekend Hours: Every other weekend
  • Call Requirements: None
  • Patient Ratio: 6:1
  • Unit Beds: 30
  • EMR System: Cerner
  • Float Requirements: As needed

Required Certifications

  • AHA BLS
  • AHA NIH

Requirements/Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in Alabama
  • Minimum 2 years of Med Surg experience, including experience within the last year
  • BLS issued by the American Heart Association
  • NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
  • Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Dress Code

  • Scrub Color: Navy
  • No long nails, gel nails, wrapped nails, dipped nails, or any fake nails allowed

  • Type of patients: Surgery patients
  • Fast-paced environment requiring quick thinking and strong work ethic
